Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Fort Myers is part of the larger association of Vineyard Churches which now number over 850 worldwide (over 30 in Florida). Gary and Cathy Smith founded the church in 1986.

 

The Vineyard arose from a desire to address contemporary needs by combining the best of Conservative Evangelicalism with Charismatic traditions.  The Vineyard Community of churches was founded by John Wimber in the early 1980's. 

 

We believe that we are called to be instruments in the Kingdom of God, reaching out to the spiritual needs of our generation through a contemporary style of worship, with a high value of teaching God’s Word and developing deep personal relationships.

 

We desire to see God work supernaturally to heal broken and empty lives. We exist to see those who have come to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, become fully developed believers and make Christ their greatest Treasure.

 

Our aim is to be simple, relevant, practical with:...No hype...No manipulation. Our desire is to connect to our culture, while holding to and perpetuating the Godly traditions of the Reformers.
